Austin never has a shortage of exciting new restaurants and that continues to be true as we welcome a new season! From Texas barbecue with an Egyptian influence to coastal Mexican flavors, we’ve rounded up Austin’s newest batch of restaurants.


Bamboo House Austin  |  The mega-popular Houston Chinese restaurant made its Austin debut, bringing along its ever-so-famous crispy Peking duck, plus other Sichuan specialties, to the Crestview neighborhood.

Bisous  |  The Vietnamese comfort food truck from former Foreign & Domestic chef recently opened in front of Gibson Bar. It serves Southern-Vietnamese fusion dishes like fried catfish with fresh herbs, rice bowls and bao, and thit kho.

Choo Sando  |  Japanese sushi and sandwich pop-up Choo Sando opened a permanent shop in Brentwood offering to-go sandwiches like tamago (Japanese-style egg salad), lobster, or fruit sandwiches, as well as omakase by preorder.

Este  |  From the Suerte team, this new coastal Mexican restaurant celebrates fresh seafood, Mexican flavors, and charcoal cooking.

Honey Pig  |  East Coast Korean barbecue chain Honey Pig opened its first Austin location which offers grill-it-yourself brisket, and bulgogi, with other dishes like noodles, soups, and bibimbap.
